Music Industry Vet Rich Nice Unleashes Web Series "POUNDZ" | @poundztheshow |

Rich Nice, known for his work with gold & platinum music talent over the years is no stranger to the content creation world. Wearing multiple hats in this new Original Web Series "POUNDZ"with co - creator Arthur Jones (Revolt, BET, MTV, credits) take on the duties of writing, casting, shooting, producing, editing and directing. Shot on location in the US Virgin Islands, NYC and Denver, Colorado, this is the rough and tumble story about two female stoners ("Kandi" & "Lu Lu") in the Caribbean who create their own strain of weed and stumble into the cannabis business via Lu Lu's love interest "Shadow" played by Connor Evans.

Unbeknownst to them they were entering a profession way more complex than they ever anticipated. Walking into a world of growers, traffickers and the seedy underworld to legitimate businesses and legal medicinal product providers. Kandi & Lu Lu find themselves on a magic carpet ride that begins to spiral out of control. The cast is a motley crew including Comedians Omar Thompson & Reginal Thomas from the world famous Caroline's comedy club circuit.. This Comedy/Drama looks at all nuances of the cannabis world taking a birds eye view of the grower, the smoker and the dealer, to the import/export business and medicinal wellness properties of the cannabis plant.

About the creation of "POUNDZ"

"The show is being well received and notable TV/Film actors and music artists have signed on to do cameos and walk ons. We're really excited. Arthur and I wrote this in St.Thomas (Virgin Islands) during a 3- day process. We wrote in 1 day, cast the morning of the 2nd day along with doing a table read on the evening of the 2nd day and shot on the 3rd day. The difficult part was the thought process to give the show back story and connect the dots. Shooting in New York City, which is never easy, and also shooting in Denver during 420 (our release date) kept us on our toes. Thankfully, it was all organic and no stress to complete our mission" - Richard Nice, Director/Producer
