Grammy Award winning, international superstar Sean Paul joins forces with Alkaline, arguably one of the hottest artistes in dancehall music, to release the single Gyalis Pro.
The street-banger was produced by Kimani ‘DJ Frass’ Palmer was released on the Crazy Glue riddim in May 2017.
Speaking of the collaboration Sean Paul says: “I have always kept a keen eye and ear to the dancehall scene and the emerging artistes. Alkaline and I have seen each other around at parties and dances and I have been enjoying his music since he emerged on the scene,” Sean Paul shares.
This collaboration Alkaline says is already a banger.
“Sean Paul is an artiste I have a lot a respect for over the years, for his achievements and his contribution to the genre. The whole vibe, from the studio to the video shoot was great. The fans have really gravitated to the collab and are in for a real treat when the video releases on June 23,” says the 24-year-old deejay born Earlan Bartley.
Sean Paul has been enjoying an unbroken string of massive hit singles in the last 18 months, most recently with the single Body featuring Atlanta superstars Migos which was the follow up to the worldwide hit No Lie featuring Dua Lipa. Add Tek Weh Yuh Heart with Tory Lanez, and the Clean Bandit collaboration Rockabye, which spent nine weeks at number one in the UK charts and, of course, his Grammy nominated Number 1 Billboard, global smash with Sia on Cheap Thrills, and it is fair to say that Sean Paul has rarely been away from the higher reaches of the charts.
The chart-topping Champion Boy deejay has also been riding the waves of success since his 2013 debut. Alkaline has continued to produce hits with records such as Fast, Nice and Easy, Impact, Pretty Girl, Red Eyes, Afterall, and Formula just to name a few. His New Level Unlocked album topped the Billboard Reggae charts within a week of its release.
