Atlanta rapper Skinny-C presents the music video for "Get Down", the first single from The Commencement, his new EP produced entirely by ATL beatsmith Nobody Famous. The video was shot in front of Atlanta's Turner Field - formerly the Atlanta Braves Stadium - by Norris Gresham a.k.a. GA Slim Films. His last full-length release was Never Hungry Always Thirsty Vol. 2: Back For Seconds (listen), which featured the song "MC" (watch the music video) in which he raps only using words that begin with the letters 'M' and 'C' sequentially. Volume 1 of NHAT featured Kingpin Skinny Pimp (listen). Skinny sold more than 10,000 combined digital and hard copies of his 2010 release Mixtape Muzik Vol. 1: INTREPID and Mixtape Muzik Vol. 2: RHAPSODY as a result of a series of grassroots performance and fan engagement campaigns through the Southeast. Skinny calls his new EP "The beginning of a new chapter in life. Cutting off the old and malignant, and starting with a fresh new slate. Everything from this point moving forward is on an upper echelon."
