Entering the fifth week of burgeoning rapper Boland's No Days Off new music release campaign, he literally goes in for the kill - with lyrics and flows being the weapon of choice. With aspirations to become one of the best up-and-coming lyricists in the game, Boland looked no further than the enigmatic savant-like emcee Jay Electronica for creative inspiration.

"I remember hearing 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' by Jay and having my mind blown. Floored. How can one guy carry so many different voices?", explains the Nas and Bob Dylan inspired wordsmith. "From that point onward I made it a goal of mine to cultivate as many different styles, cadences, and perspectives as I could. I refuse to rap one way." While digging around for a conceptually brilliant way to execute a stylistically diverse artistic vision, the "Pentagon" song and theme was born. "This song is like a Pentagon. It contains five sides, five styles, five Boland's."

As a rising new talent Boland is only just now getting accustomed to enaging the artistic spotlight, an interesting task considering his sister is award-winning actress Katie Boland, chosen by the Toronto International Film Festival - the world's largest film festival - as one of their inaugural "Rising Stars"; his mother is award-winning photographer and filmmaker Gail Harvey who's worked on over 100 films; while his father Kevin Boland is an esteemed journalist and best-selling author.

Produced by budding beatsmith NAWMS, the No Days Off music release series will also feature Boland paying tribute to some of rap's greatest and quirkiest icons, from Mobb Deep to MF Doom, seamlessly blending both the old and new school.
