Statue Of Christopher Columbus Covered On First Indigenous Peoples Day

The city of Los Angeles has renamed Columbus Day  and covered up the Christopher Columbus statue to honor native American people. Kara Finnstrom reports. Columbus Day to be renamed Indigenous Peoples'Day in LA. The Los Angeles City Council voted Wednesday to give Columbus Day a very different name: Indigenous Peoples' Day. The council voted to replace Christopher Columbus' name on the holiday with a celebration of indigenous people.
