Fitbit is stepping up its game with announcing a new player to the team called Ionic which has a lot of similarities to say...the Apple Watch or other smart watches. But unlike the tech Apple Watch, Fitbit can offer things the iWatch can’t, such as an enhanced heart rate reader that includes a Sp02 sensor is capable of tracking oxygen in the blood over long periods of time.
You’ll also get 2.5 GB to store music (which would be considered great for those who dont want to tow around their phones during workouts), and a fun array of colors: blue gray with silver, charcoal with graphite, or slate blue with charcoal.
Personalized guidance and insights. Your favorite songs and apps. All the features you love from Fitbit. This is the watch you’ve been waiting for.
The Ionic will cost $299.95 when it’s released sometime in October. Being that I am a huge Fitbit fan, I still will chill over here with my Alta HR until people report back that its worth it.
