Aaron Maddox, also known as AMAX, (IG: @therealamax ) is a singer/songwriter from Camden NJ. At 8 years old, he was pulled out of class and asked to sing in the hallway for his 3rd grade teacher. She was looking for a soloist in the school play at the time, and liked what she heard. Needless to say that was the beginning of his musical journey. Like many artists before him, singing in church choirs helped to develop his gift, but his love for R&B gave him his vision. Merging the passion of the 90's with mainstream sound enables him to deliver a fresh and unique style. Artists like Jodeci, Case, Drake, and The Weeknd influence his music, however the source of his motivation derives from hip hop. Rappers like 2pac & Jay-Z give him the drive and tenacity to achieve his goals. Lyrical content, hypnotizing melodies and witty ad libs are riddled all through out the music AMAX delivers. He introduces you to a new school R&B with a hip hop aggression.
