" XX is a new anthem and a new symbol beyond the chromosomes you see, I dream and rap to empower fellow women to stand up for themselves and be the superwomen that they are" - Missy D.
With such a big symbol of diversity and acceptance in an industry that is male dominated females tend to become overshadowed. Hip Hop has taught Missy D. to fight for her rights, voice her opinion, stand for her community and to never take no for an answer.
With hopes to raise awareness to such a crucial charity and a resource many women need Missy D hopes to help empower these women to raise their voices, help one another, never take no for an answer and to know that someone is always there for them. We are all in this together.
