Best known to date for his work as a DJ, the multi-talented J-Fresh, is about to take 2017 to new heights as he gears up to release his debut project as a producer, ‘The Pineapple E.P’.
The DJ, Broadcaster and Producer from Bournemouth, hosts a weekly radio show that is internationally syndicated to over 50 stations and J’s interview resume boasts some of the biggest names in the industry, including: 50 Cent, Jeremih, Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla Sign, Kid Ink, Kano, Skepta and more. He also has a residency on Charlie Sloth’s BBC 1Xtra #ClubSloth and has created content for the likes of Rinse, SBTV and LinkUp TV. He had a jam-packed 2016, touring Europe and playing at some of the biggest festivals in the UK.
‘Change’ featuring Blay is the first track to be taken off ‘The Pineapple E.P’ and the punchy beat showcases J-Fresh’s talent as a producer. Heavily influenced by the UK Urban scene, the old school grimy beat, mixed with the heavy flow and catchy hook from North London emcee Blay, is the perfect introduction to J-Fresh and his production talents.
The remaining two tracks on the E.P, ‘So High’ and ‘Toppa Toppa’ demonstrate J’s ability to effortlessly switch between genres. With the help of Strive on the vocal of the dark and eerie beat on ‘Toppa Toppa’ and Don Jagga bringing his bouncy vocals to club track ‘So High’.
An impressive debut packed with vibes and bars, The Pineapple E.P is a fresh and tasty start to 2017.
