LaFreshman announces the premiere of his newest single, "Formula One," viaMagnetic Magazine who beams, "The track effortlessly blends a mix of hip-hop, R&B, soul, and pop to bring out an emotional work that manages to gracefully balance between party anthem and deep-thinking lyricism." In his own words, Lafreshman describes the track as "...a song that you can vibe to, but also will get you thinking through the lyrics and story behind it. I wanted to give something that combines the lyricism and poetry of rap lyrics but also give off a vibe you can zone to. When I finished I automatically knew it was something I needed to share."

San Francisco Bay Area native LaFreshman aka Simba Short has an unorthodox beginning to his hip-hop career: his musical roots were planted not from picking up a mic, the saxophone at a young age. He’s classically trained and plays both tenor and alto. It wasn’t until he met with friends that had access to a full studio that he realized he had aspirations outside of the saxophone. Bitten by the music bug, Lafreshman moved in with his friends and made the studio his second home. As a newcomer to Los Angeles, he felt it was befitting to call himself LaFreshman. Subsequently, he released five singles that have all been well-received. He currently has over 373K plays on Soundcloud respectively. After enlisting the help of Matthew Sim and Colin Leonard, LaFreshmanput together a series of singles that combine a mix of his classic vibrations with sleek production that are set for release throughout this summer and the fall.
