"On My Mind" is NC emcee Phocuz and Producer J-Mac' phonic fusion of sounds and the first release since 2015's New Gold project. The two team up for their first full length collab album Vibes R Eternal and this visual is a nice start leaving the listener wanting more.
With a throwback camera effect and real 90's vibe, it's obvious why fans and websites alike have picked up on this single and now video as RevoltTV recently approved this visual.
The video showcases the balance and struggle between love and music, as Phocuz delivers bars about the ups and downs of a faltering love affair. He also mentions the importance of his brotherhood with fellow emcee and new Epic records signee Swift. There is a small portion of NC that is often overlooked, the Northeast section of North Carolina known as the 252. This rural area home to Elizabeth City and Edenton was also where Phocuz & J-Mac got their start, but it was Tobacco Road's Durham, NC that brought them together.
9th Wonder & Christopher "Play" Martin started a Hip-Hop course at NCCU that Phocuz and Epic Records signee (Swift) would later meet in and in which Phocuz & J-Mac's met.
Fast forward 6 years later, with credits between them ranging from; ESPN, NBC Sports, Snoop Dogg, G-Unit, Dip Set, Wu-Tang Clan, Hall of Justus, Rapsody, Idris Elba, Swift and plenty more.
It also goes without saying that J-Mac has also worked with the new signee, Swift, on various past projects such as Guns & Roses and Supreme.
